SUSPENDED is a site-specific installation, where sound and light react in real-time to full-body movement utilizing motion tracking.

The interactive cross-sensory environment in a way creates an augmented body schema and peripersonal space. SUSPENDED thus, represents an aspect of bodily self-consciousness that emerges and changes with the flow of experience.

Control, or rather the exploration of this ephemeral space is possible only below a certain speed limit. If you cross this boundary, the lights start to flash rapidly and irritating high-pitched sounds play until you get back to a velocity of motion ideal for exploring bodily awareness.
