Wajda Tamer
Antidisciplinary Artist / Feeler / Finder
Wajda Tamer is an antidisciplinary artist based in The Hague and Budapest, with an academic background in both experimental music and film. Their practice circles around multiple layers of introspection, the fluidity of perception and a holist attempt to reflect on or speculatively redesign culturally and politically motivated relations of science, empathy and spirituality. This multifaceted investigation is shaped by the principles of somatism and archiving processes.
Wajda likes to use the tools of poetry within performative and multimedia environments, to create a platform for non-hierarchical dialogue. The resulting works take diverse forms—ranging from interactive sonic installations and audiovisual poems to multimedia performances—each seeking to cultivate an associative communication between the contributing elements.
